Price cost they looked at it an came back and told me my transmission an front differental was bad may need replacing but don't know until they take it apart to find out what the problem is I don't remember the fella's name but he thought I don't know about cars and trucks or he thought I was a moron because I just moved here from Iowa He thought I would take his word that they were bad Sorry fella it was my front wheel hubs going bad both sides got it repair no noise an drives like its new I will not say you are a bad shop but need to work on customer service skills an get better mechinics that know what they are doing .
Brought my 1999 honda accord in for a second opinion they were able to check my car and get the repairs done in a timely matter. Jeff the manager was very kind and helpful. The staff was very pleasant, extremly clean shop. Will recommend all of my friends. Thank you Jeff and the rest of the a plus family.
I took my ford focus in for repair. The manager and other staff took time to explain everything to me.I am very satisfied with the service. i will be telling my friends and family about this shop. Thanks to everyone.
Great Service – the people here are very generous and helpful that they know what to do to help their customers. I was having issues with my transmission. They were able to repair my transmission at a reasonable price.
I just got my Tundra truck a few months ago and wanted to change my oil. I then quickly realized as I began draining it that I accidentally drained the Transmission fluid. So I lost about 2 quarts. Just a few days after Christmas and on a Saturday, I called up A Plus Transmission Specialist and they told me not to worry. I got my truck in that same day and an 1.5 hours later, the truck was ready. My truck just reached 100,000 miles. They looked at the transmission and checked for metal flakes, replaced the filter and added fluid for a very cheap cost. They give you the paperwork to prove it all to you. Saved me $100 compared to the dealership (who was not able to service my truck for another week). I told my story and now my mom is needing transmission repairs. Guess where I am sending her to??? Thanks guys.
I have a 1994 Ford e-150, not the easiest thing in the world to get repairs done on. These guys had it diagnosed in a matter of hours, the estimate was approved, and the parts were there the next morning. 48 hours after I dropped it off, it was ready to go, and for only $3200, which is a great price for a heavy duty transmission such as the one I have! I'd recommend these guys to anyone who wants a great place! Plus, they offer a three year warranty, which is the best deal I've found anywhere!
About a week ago I wrote a review stating the excellent work that was done repair/replacing my transmission but in the process there was damage done in another area of the vehicle possibly inadvertently but in any case that is not a problem I should have to own. Well I want to thank Robert and his team for not making me have to own that problem. On yesterday I received a call from Robert asking me to bring the vehicle in and that they would replace the damaged radiator free of charge with a brand new radiator. Reputation is all we have and when that is ruined, ie our name, then we have nothing. Thank you A plus transmission that your name and having a good reputation does means something. That's integrity!
I call in early on a thursday morning talk to Shane and told him that a had my car at the Hyundai dealership on I-10 between Baker cypress and hwy 6 told him that they told me that the problem was the in put and out put sensor on the transmission but until a day after I call this guy which he never call me at all and tell me that the problem is the transmission and it will cost me about 2600.00 to repair. So to make a long story short Shane offer me to send a towing truck to the dealership and take it to there location to check what is wrong with the car. they gave me a estimate and told me there was a lot of damage in the transmission. We agree to do the job with them and they did a very good job I have driven the car for about 100 miles and it fells good so far I hope it will run like new for a long time. And would recomend this guys to any person that need a transmission work. Job well done and Shane the person to go to.
We've been doing business with A Plus for a Decade Our first experience with Jim and A Plus was back in 2003. We had just purchased a 99 Suburban (88K miles) with a shot transmission. We took it to Jim who installed a new transmission which lasted us another 140K miles. We then took the suburban back to A Plus when that one went out and had a second transmission put in and it has been running strong ever since. Jim and A Plus have also put a transmission in my son's 2001 5 speed Mustang. Any time that we have had any issues, Jim immediately inspects and fixes whatever we need help with. Most of these items get covered under warranty. Jim prides himself on his transmissions lasting more than 100K miles and has many testimonials from customers including us! Jim is friendly, corteous, and always does what he says. I cannot state strongly enough how much my wife and I think of Jim and the quality of his workers and their repairs. We both HIGHLY recommend Jim and A Plus. Thanks Jim and staff!!!!!!!
I recently had some trouble with my transmission on my Chevy Trailblazer...I felt comfortable with the service I got at A+ Transmission ....I was surprised by the "open door" policy they have, and they showed & explained to me the damage, and what was required...working with Shane, I felt he gave me a honest diagnosis of my car.
I'm surprised to see all the positive reviews. Yea, these guys did a decent job on my transmission...rebuilt the torque converter, replaced a few worn parts, but I got cornered when the trans was taken apart and I get a call saying it will be $2400!!! I asked what all was wrong, called another shop down the road, and they told me they're do it for $1800 if I brought it over (towed it). After I tell this to A-Plus, they comply, dropping their price $600!! So what was that $600 in there for in the first place??? Straight profit, and that's ridiculous! I wonder how many people got robbed, as I was close to it! I may have still been robbed at $1800! I'm not telling you to be aware of shady shop practices, but shop around and play hardball if they're willing to do stuff like this!
My minivan had a transmission problem so we took it to this shop. They fixed it in a reasonable amount of time, knowing we had a driving trip planned. A couple days after, another problem arose, and they fixed it under warranty and fixed it fast since we were leaving the next day on our trip. They seem trustworthy, reliable, and honest. I would recommend this place to anyone else needing transmission work. In fact, I'm about to call them regarding my parent's car.
This shop's practices are the very definition of fraud. Let's see here... this shop intentionally deceived me so that they could make additional money. They made numerous empty promises, didn't install the parts that I supposedly paid for, and lied repeatedly to me about the work that they said they did. I smelled a rat as soon as I walked in and talked to the manager. I should have gone with my gut instinct and left, but my transmission was already in pieces in their shop, so I reluctantly left my car with them. This experience has cost me so much unnecessary money and hassle. I should have taken it to a cleaner, more reputable shop. Learn and listen to these reviews. Stay away from this place!
Not only is this place run by a bunch of crooks, but a bunch lying idiots as well. Notice the previous three 5-star reviews. Obviously typed by a member of their staff. Notice they are typed in all lowercase, and whoever did it isn't smart enough to know that you need to put a space after a comma. Please look past these fraudulent reviews and get to all of the real stories. I promise, if you go here you will seriously regret it. Please, DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, ANYWHERE ELSE.
Absolutely incompetent and devious shop. It took them almost 2 months to attmept to fix my car. They actually did more damage to the car and it has cost me $7,500 to do a $3,000 job. Don't believe these 5 star reviews because they are written by friends or employees of this shop in order to further decieve you and keep the most recent rating at a 5 star level. If you even dare to go and deal with this shop and it's manager "Chuck", then ask if they will provide reciepts for the parts that you want put in your vehicle. He will not do it and he claims that nobody in the business does it. Well guess what, go down the street to another shop and they will have no problem doing just that. They say that they will install what you ask for, but then they source the cheapest Chinese parts, or used parts, and then place them into your transmission. They will use a chisel and hammer to put on nuts, torch your bearings and beat them off, and leave metal chips in your transmission case. Then they will forget to install bolts to keep in all together. (Happened to me) I found out the hard way and had another shop fix A+ Transmissions shady work. It cost me an extra $1,500 to simply fix the problems that A+ caused then an additional $3,000 to do it all over again with another shop since they would not honor a simple logical warranty. These guys lie directly to your face and they have such a low level of ethics and integrity that they feel no shame in doing so. Their work orders and repair orders are filled with lawyered up "got ya" statements that are in their best interest completely. I'm working on suing this company right now due to my ordeal. These guys are rediculous. Go with your gut instinct when you have to deal with big ticket items. If it looks like a duck...it's a duck.
Last month my car was slipping and my neighbor mentioned it might be the transmission. I took my car to this shop, the manager was friendly and knowledgeable. They fixed my car and I have not had any problems since. Thank you, A+ Transmission. I highly recommend this shop.
Believe the bad reviews on here, they will keep your car as long as they possibly can and not care at all. This place is the worst shop in all of Houston, beware do not bring your car here.
